Over $1,500 USD in prizes, plus international, national, and institutional recognition for participants, ambassadors, teachers, and schools.
Finalists who score at least 50% of the total points receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze Honours in a 1:2:3 ratio — roughly the top 16% earn Gold and the next 34% earn Silver, with the remainder earning Bronze. Awards are given separately within each age group.
The top three scorers from each participating country who reach at least 50% of the Final Round points receive a National Award certificate, recognizing excellence within their own country's cohort.
Ambassadors and schools with strong outreach and participation earn end-of-year recognition. See Become an Ambassador and School Partnerships for how participation is credited.
Every participant receives an official digital certificate of participation, regardless of result, with a permanent verification ID — see Verify Certificate.
International 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize winners receive hard-copy certificates shipped to their home address, typically around two weeks after the Final Round results are announced; international shipping can take up to two months to arrive. All other participants, including Finalists, receive a soft-copy certificate with a permanent verification ID.
Participants who submit solutions using a professional typesetting tool (such as TeX) receive a Special Honour for Digital Submission noted on their certificate.
