Reasoning is the foundation of clear thinking, connecting mathematics, language, science, and everyday decisions. GRC gives students a chance to test their reasoning skills beyond the typical classroom curriculum, across deductive, probabilistic, causal, and strategic reasoning, critical reading, and modeling & estimation.
GRC does not aim to replace established subject olympiads. It is a supplementary program focused on accessibility: no fixed syllabus, digital participation from anywhere, a real-world research component, difficulty adjusted by age group, free tools for teachers, and an alumni ambassador network.
GRC is an independent educational program with a globally distributed volunteer and professional team. It is funded by sponsors and partners, together with the Semi-Final Round registration fee; financial aid covers participants who cannot afford that fee.
Any current high school or university student, worldwide. Participants are split into Junior, Youth, and Senior age groups — see Age Groups for the exact cutoffs.
Everyone submits their own solutions. In the Qualification Round you may work with friends or classmates; the Semi-Final and Final Round must be completed entirely on your own.
Yes. Returning participants are welcome and often place higher the second time around.
Prizes and awards are worth a total of $1,500 USD, alongside international and national recognition and a certificate for every participant.
Yes. Every participant receives a digital certificate of participation regardless of their result, with a permanent verification ID.
The Qualification Round is free. The Semi-Final Round has a small registration fee to cover evaluation and infrastructure; financial aid, including full waivers, is available.
Yes. Schools participate automatically once a student registers under their name, and schools with strong participation and performance receive end-of-year recognition. Supervising teachers receive a certificate for their role.
